about kaison
Kaison is a student athlete, balancing training, study, and creative work. Skating sits at the centre of everything, but it has grown into something larger through movement, music, and the projects around it.
origins
At sixteen, Kaison left home and experienced homelessness, moving between couch surfing and unstable housing. Support from St Laurence House and The Salvation Army helped create stability during that time, and this chapter was not defined by struggle alone, but by the independence and awareness it created.
practice and performance
Movement became the main way to rebuild structure and focus. Ballet training, drama studies at Newtown Performing Arts, and competitive skating shaped a style grounded in musicality and control.
Recent highlights include three State titles across NSW, QLD, and VIC, alongside a second place finish at Nationals. Alongside training and competition, Kaison studies Business at The University of Notre Dame.
projects and creative work
Outside of competition, different projects continue to grow alongside skating. The Archives hold visual moments and ideas that evolve over time, Lovers Dance Academy explores collaboration through movement, and Kaison Atelier develops photoshoot and visual work with Controlled Chaos Studios.
press, collaborations, and recognition
Kaison has been featured in the Daily Telegraph, appeared in a music video with Close Counters, and collaborated with Airolabel. Support through the Youth Off The Streets Scholarship and two years as a Variety Hearts Scholar helped make continued training and development possible.
becoming
This space reflects an ongoing process rather than a finished story. Current work continues through skating, study, and the development of Kaison Haus, building slowly through writing, experience and memory.
