About Emery
Australian Figure Skater | Co-founder of Paper Crown Project | Youth Homelessness Representative
A little bit about me
My name is Emery Kaison Nguyen, but most people call me Emery Kaison. At 16, I legally changed my name from Alan Nguyen to turn over a new leaf, inspired by the middle child, Emery Huang from Fresh Off the Boat. I am 18, based in Sydney, and currently training as a competitive figure skater while also taking on youth advocacy opportunities.
At the moment, I spend majority of my time studying at the University of Notre Dame and developing personal projects focused on youth advocacy. I will be retiring from competing after this season to focus on developing the Paper Crown Project. My skating career will move onto coaching and potentially ice dance with a new partner.
